This Payment Policy (“Policy”) governs all payment transactions conducted through the Meri Furniture website (the “Website”). By placing an order through this Website, you agree to the terms and conditions set forth below.
1. Third-Party Payment Processing
All online payment transactions are securely processed through Shopify Payments, a payment service provided by Shopify and its authorized payment partners.
Meri Furniture does not directly process or store complete credit card information. Payment credentials are encrypted and processed securely in accordance with applicable financial regulations and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS).
Your payment transaction may also be subject to the terms and conditions of Shopify Payments and your issuing financial institution.
2. Accepted Forms of Payment
We accept the following payment methods, as displayed at checkout:
- Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover
- Digital wallets (such as Shop Pay, Apple Pay, PayPal Wallet, Google Pay)
- Financing through Affirm (subject to eligibility)*
We do not accept:
- Cash (for online purchases)
- Checks
- Money orders
- Offline bank transfers not integrated into our checkout system

3. Payment Authorization and Billing
By submitting payment information, you:
- Confirm that you are authorized to use the selected payment method; and
- Authorize Meri Furniture and its payment processor to charge the total order amount, including product price, applicable taxes, and shipping fees.
Payment is captured at the time the order is placed and successfully authorized.
If a transaction is declined, reversed, flagged for review, or later determined to be unauthorized, we reserve the right to cancel the order or suspend fulfillment.
4. Financing Options
Meri Furniture offers financing through Affirm, an independent third-party financing provider.
When you select Affirm at checkout:
- You enter into a payment agreement directly with Affirm
- Affirm may perform eligibility checks
- Payment plans, interest rates, and terms are determined solely by Affirm
Affirm operates independently from our primary payment processor, Shopify Payments.
Meri Furniture does not control financing approvals, repayment terms, or fees associated with Affirm services.
5. Pricing Transparency and Fees
All prices on the Website are displayed in United States Dollars (USD).
The total amount charged at checkout will clearly display:
- Product price
- Applicable sales tax
- Shipping and handling charges
Meri Furniture does not add hidden processing fees.
However, your bank or card issuer may independently impose. Such charges are determined solely by your financial institution and are not controlled by Meri Furniture.
6. Refunds
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the transaction, in accordance with our Return Policy.
Refund processing times vary depending on the payment processor and the customer’s financial institution. While refunds are typically processed promptly upon approval, posting times may vary and are outside our control.
We are not responsible for delays caused by banks, card networks, or third-party payment processors.
7. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you believe there is an error with your transaction, you agree to contact Meri Furniture directly prior to initiating a chargeback with your financial institution.
Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may delay resolution and investigation.
In cases of suspected fraudulent or abusive chargebacks (including “friendly fraud”), we reserve the right to:
- Provide transaction records and delivery confirmation to the issuing bank
- Dispute invalid chargebacks
- Restrict or refuse future transactions from associated accounts
Nothing in this section limits your legal rights under applicable consumer protection laws.
8. Fraud Prevention and Verification
To prevent fraud and unauthorized transactions, Meri Furniture reserves the right to:
- Refuse or cancel any order suspected of fraud
- Request additional verification documentation
- Delay shipment pending identity or payment confirmation
Failure to provide requested verification may result in cancellation and refund of the order.
9. Security and Data Protection
All transactions are encrypted and processed through secure systems.
Meri Furniture does not store full credit card numbers, CVV codes, or sensitive authentication data on its servers.
While we implement commercially reasonable safeguards, we are not liable for unauthorized access or payment misuse resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
10. Compliance and Transparency Statement
Meri Furniture is committed to clear pricing, transparent checkout practices, and compliance with applicable consumer protection and advertising platform policies.
All fees, shipping costs, and taxes are disclosed prior to order confirmation. No hidden charges are applied after checkout.
All payments are processed securely through trusted payment providers, and no sensitive payment information is stored directly on our servers.
